2008 Election Results Announced for WMMB Board The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has announced the results of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board 2008 Board of Directors election where 17 nominees ran for nine seats.

Dairy Producers Celebrate America's Pastime Wisconsin Dairy Producers should plan now to attend WMMB's Dairy Day at Miller Park on Sunday, June 1, 2008. For the third consecutive year, WMMB will team up with the Milwaukee Brewers for a "Dairy Day" game day celebration.
High-Risk Period for Manure Runoff The staff at University of Wisconsin-Discovery Farms and the staff at USGS (United States Geological Survey) have put a document to warn all livestock producers to be conscientious of their nutrient management techniques and timing during the high-risk period that the warmer temperatures will bring.
SWCMA 6th Annual Young Dairy Producer Scholarship The Southwestern WI Cheese Makers Association announced their 6th Annual Young Dairy Producer Educational Scholarship which would allow a young dairy producer to pursue dairy production educational opportunities. Application deadline is March 31, 2008.
New Brochure from DATCP on Buying Dairy Cattle "Buying Dairy Cows: Some Suggestions for Beginning Dairy Producers" is a new brochure, cooperatively developed by staff from DATCP's Farm Center and the Division of Animal Health. It offers dairy producers a set of guidelines and veterinary protocols to follow when purchasing cattle to avoid bringing problems into their herds.
UW Dairy Marketing and Risk Management Site Update A new and improved "Understanding Dairy Markets" website is being launched by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Updates include an online search engine, analytical tools, and additional pricing and market information.
